Actor Tommy Mykhal Ford died Wednesday at the age of 52. He was best known for his role as Tommy, Martin’s best friend on the TV show Martin.
“At 4:50 pm surrounded by family and close friends he transitioned from this life to life eternal.” His publicist tweeted.
For the past couple of weeks, he had been documenting his recovery from a knee replacement surgery on social media. According to his wife Gina, he had been hospitalized over the weekend when complications developed from his surgery and was placed on life support. Tommy suffered a ruptured aneurysm in his abdominal area.
Tommy was also a motivational speaker and a children’s book author. He had also been focusing on building a career behind the camera. He had directed and produced several webisodes, been filming Reverse the Lynch Curse, a documentary about breaking curses of distrust and envy, and finished The Last Time, a film on domestic violence. Tommy was also involved in several theatre productions.
